Which of the Seven Direct TV Packages is Right for You?

Unless you are just beginning to compare Directv plans, you probably know that they offer several packages to please everyone. Prices vary as do the different channels get with each package.

Some plans have DVR service built into them, but even if the plan you want doesn’t come with DVR, it can be added to any plan for $5.99/month. Along with its recording capability, the DVR service enables you to pause and rewind tv programs for up to the last 90 minutes. You have the ability to watch one recording while taping 2 other shows at the same time.

The TV channels are bundled into various plans. Below are some of the plans that are available:

Direct tv Packages:

*Choice Plan — 150+ Channels including 135 program channels, including local channels and 50 XM radio channels).

*The Plus DVR Plan — Over 200+ Digital Channesl with the addition of DVR service.

*Plus HD DVR Package – Ultimate HD with the addition of DVR.

*Total Choice Premier Package — 265+ Channels: 215 program channels, including local channels as well as 67 XM radio channels.

The Choice Premier Plan is by far the most expensive, and is probably only picked by tv fanatics who can’t decide between the channels, so they choose them all. The HD Channels are quite noticably sharper in detail, and provide a more dynamic viewing experience.

Package prices and promotions are constantly changing, and more channels are added all the time, so the channels listed in each package may vary.

With the variety of Direct tv packages and prices, you will have no problem finding a package that suits your viewing and financial requirements.

In these uncertain times, many people are choosing lighter/less expensive plans, with the hope to upgrade sometime in the future.
